Tasmania only has one native species of true
kangaroo, the Forester, which is protected and
many different breeds of the smaller wallaby.
Wallaby and geese are the latest addition to some
restaurant menus. I suppose at least they don't
compact the ground or require clear felling of
land like cattle bred for meat. |
