Lake Nicholls on the track to Mt Field East in the Mt Field National Park, 75 kilometers west of Hobart. Declared in 1917, it was Tasmania's first National Park, at the time covering some 27,000 acres of first rate mountain scenery, lakes, tarns, and waterfalls.
